Insolvency Register

The Insolvency Register was founded on 1 January 2008 when the Law On Insolvency came into force. The Law on Insolvency was elaborated in order to replace the Law On the Insolvency of Undertakings and Companies. The purpose of the Law On Insolvency is to promote the re-establishment of solvency of the debtor (inter alia, of a natural person as debtor) and protection of creditor interests in cases of limited solvency or insolvency of the debtor, compensating the interests of persons at financial difficulties and creditors.

The purpose of the establishment of the Register is to provide accessibility of an insolvency case. The Insolvency register is accessible to everyone and its records have public credibility.

Data on administrator, insolvency subject, remedy process, course of the insolvency process of a legal person and the insolvency process of a natural person are entered into the Register.

All records of the Insolvency Register are openly accessible here.

Information on the administrators included into the insolvency register - first name, family name, legal address, number, date of issuance and validity of certificate, is available in the Section “Administrators”.

In order to search information of the insolvency register on a particular subject (a businessman, an undertaking, an association, a natural person etc.), use the Section “Search”.
You can look at all the records made on the particular subject at the insolvency register in the Section “Register of Enterprises reference”.

It is possible to examine records made on a definite date with a help of calendar in the Section “Register”. In the same place in the Section “Reference” at the particular subject it is possible to examine all the records on the very subject made at the insolvency register. It is possible to examine the register of the current month in the Subsection “Monthly register” of the Section “Register”.

We draw attention to the fact that in compliance with paragraph 4 of Article 9 of the Law On the Register of Enterprises of the Republic of Latvia, examining the Section “Reference” of the insolvency process, scanned documents are available: agenda of creditor meeting and notice of administrator on creditor meeting. Examining of the mentioned records and documents at the web-page of the Register of Enterprises is free of charge.
