Open data
Open data shall be available to any person free of charge with information at the disposal of the State Administration, which shall be published in a format allowing further use and easy processing, so that it can be downloaded so that the user can edit and analyze the data. The data opened by the Enterprise Register is available in a machine-readable format (CSV file) as well as in a user-friendly XLSX file.
Open data is allowed to be distributed without restrictions, including for use (i.e. for commercial and non-commercial purposes by natural and legal persons).
Open data contributes to:
- economic growth and transparency, since information is shared, is in the circulation of information, which makes it possible to see more links and trends;
- public awareness and understanding of processes in the country and public administration, all stakeholders may produce statistics in any cut, leaving the amount of data offered;
- the development of the host environment, as current and high-quality data can be used for the development of an existing business and for the development of new services.
The datasets opened by the Enterprise Register are published and available via the Latvian Open Data Portal.
