Changes shall be applied for entry in the commercial Register when information regarding the merchant of the Member States changes. Changes shall not be claimed if the Member State in which the merchant is established ensures the transfer of information and documents to the system of interconnection of registers (BRIS).

If a merchant of a Member State amends information in documents submitted to the Enterprise Register, for example, the articles of association of the merchant, the founding agreement, changes shall be applied for registration in the Enterprise Register. Documents need not be submitted if the Member State in which the trader is established ensures the availability of messages and documents on the European e-Justice Portal (eJustice). Documents to be submitted:

• application form KR18;
• a document certifying the changes in the information regarding the economic operator of the Member State (statement);
• a notarised copy of the amendments or new version of the relevant document. If the relevant document is in a foreign language, a translation into Latvian shall be appended thereto;
• current Annual Report. The annual report may not be submitted if it is made available to the registry authority of the Member State concerned;
• a questionnaire for inclusion of information in the Register of natural persons (to be signed by the foreigner himself or herself with a secure electronic signature in order to submit electronically; if there is no secure electronic signature, this document shall not be submitted) of a foreigner (foreigner) who has a legal link with Latvia on the basis of which mutual rights and obligations in the field of commercial activities and taxes are formed or have developed, but no personal identity number of the Republic of Latvia has been granted;
• if the particular type of service is not available on the e-services portal registrs.ur.gov.lv or the application is submitted via postal services, information regarding payment of the State fee shall be appended (receipt or a copy thereof, or printout of an Internet bank payment or free text information). Deadline for submission of documents in the Enterprise Register: 14 days from the date of disclosure/change.
