The registered office of a company shall be the address entered in the commercial Register which the company uses for official communication. The board of directors of the company shall ensure receipt of correspondence at the registered office of the company.

Conditions for registration of a registered office:

• the legal address must be the same as the address entered in the national address Register. Verification of a free address in the information system of the State address Register in kadastrs.lv;
• the address may be registered only in a building or group of premises (apartment), it may not be registered in a property consisting exclusively of land;
• if the immovable property consists of several groups of premises, it is necessary to specify the exact number of the group of premises in which the registered office is registered;
• the application must certify that the company is reachable and has a legal basis for being at the designated legal address;
• if the legal address is in a building which is not divided into groups of premises to which a number has been assigned, the cadastral designation of the building shall be indicated in the application;
• if the legal address is in the room in the building to which the number has been assigned, the cadastral designation of the particular room shall be indicated in the application;
• if the legal address is in a building in which part of the room is numbered, but part – is not numbered, and the legal address is in a non-residential room for which no number has been assigned, the cadastral designation of the relevant room shall be indicated in the application.
