Prior to taking a decision to suspend operation of a company, a merchant shall submit a notification to the Enterprise Register to creditors regarding the intention to suspend operation. A notice of the company's intention to suspend operations shall be published by the Enterprise Register on its https://info.ur.gov.lv information website. After expiry of the time period for the submission of creditor claims, the meeting of shareholders or participant shall take a decision to suspend operation.

The notification shall state:

• the firm name, registration number and legal address of the merchant;
• the place of filing of creditors' claims and the time period which may not be less than one month from the day of publication of the notice.

The notification shall be signed by the merchant.
