When submitting documents in paper format, it is necessary to certify the signatures of the board member (s) on the application form KR6. If the prosecutor himself is revoked and the application is signed by him or her, the signature on the application shall not be certified notarially.

Signatures may be certified as follows:

• At a sworn notary
• In the Orphan's Court, after the declared place of residence (if the person has the personal identity number of the Republic of Latvia)
• When signing documents with a secure electronic signature and time stamp. Where a document is to be signed by more than one person, it may be provided electronically only if all the signatories have an electronic signature.
