The information has been obtained and compiled according to the data provided by the Ministries of the Republic of Latvia and the institutions subordinate thereto. In each section, by imposing a link to the location of the information, the website of the issuing authority of the permit (licence) will open, in which it is possible to find out how the permit or licence can be obtained in the relevant authority.

This section is created on the initiative of the Enterprise Register, so that information on the necessary authorisations and licences for certain types of commercial activity can be found in one place. The initiative is included in Action 24 of the Action Plan for the Improvement of the Business Environment 2008 entitled 'Creating a point of common information approach on licences and authorisations'.
