Before taking a decision, the merchant shall publish a statement in the official publication 'Latvijas Vēstnesis', where all known creditors are informed in writing of their intention to suspend the operation. After the announcement is published, the shareholder meeting shall take a decision on the suspension.

The notification shall specify:

• merchant's firm, registration number and legal address
• place of application of claims by creditors and a time limit which may not be less than one month from the date of publication of the notice
