The representation (representative) of a foreign merchant or organisation shall be registered in the register of representations. The representation is entitled to commence activities and shall be considered open only after the relevant representation has been registered in the Register of missions.

In the cases specified in the Law, an application for registration of changes may be sent for inspection to the State Revenue Service. Read more about the assessment of applications received in the Enterprise Register at the State Revenue Service.

Documents to be submitted:

• application form PR-1;
• the separate application form for notification of the true beneficiary (PLG) of the representation of the foreign entity;
• a document certifying the registration of a foreign merchant in the relevant state, if registration is provided for in the laws of the relevant foreign state, but if such registration is not provided for in the law, as well as if a representation of a foreign organisation is opened - another document certifying the legal status of the foreign merchant or organisation in the relevant state;
• a document containing a decision of a foreign merchant or organisation to open a representation in Latvia and an authorisation for a representative;
• the articles of association, by-law or other document equivalent thereto of a foreign merchant or organisation;
• a questionnaire for inclusion of information in the Register of natural persons (to be signed by the foreigner himself or herself with a secure electronic signature in order to submit electronically; if there is no secure electronic signature, this document shall not be submitted) of a foreigner (foreigner) who has a legal link with Latvia on the basis of which mutual rights and obligations in the field of commercial activities and taxes are formed or have developed, but no personal identity number of the Republic of Latvia has been granted;
• a receipt or a copy thereof, or a printout of an Internet bank payment, or information regarding payment of the State fee.
