If the requester of information has not substantiated his or her request in accordance with the provisions of the Freedom of information Law and has not indicated the purpose for which restricted access information will be used, the Enterprise Register shall issue only generally accessible information for which the status of restricted access is not specified in the external regulatory enactment or in the list of restricted access information (LV) of the Enterprise Register of the Republic of Latvia.
If a generally available document also contains restricted access information, the Enterprise Register shall cover restricted access information when making a derivative of this document.
According to the Freedom of information Law, a person may request restricted access information only by substantiating his or her request and indicating the purpose for which it will be used. Where restricted access information is provided, the recipient undertakes to use that information only for the purposes for which it is requested.
