The Register of Enterprises of the Republic of Latvia of the Republic of Latvia is a direct administration institution that operates under the supervision of the Minister for Justice. The main task of the Enterprise Register in the territory of the Republic of Latvia is to register rightholders as undertakings, merchants, associations, foundations, religious organisations, political parties, mass media and legal facts as commercial pledges, decisive influence, marriage agreements, as well as insolvency proceedings. Besides the registration of information, the issuing of registered information is an equally important task for the Enterprise Register. In total, the Enterprise Register maintains 13 public registers and 2 lists.
