Starting a business involves registering a company with the Register of Enterprises. The Register records companies (commercial companies), merchants and their branches, as well as all changes to their founding documents. The Register also registers mass media, associations and foundations, commercial pledges, controlling interests, marriage contracts, political parties and political party associations, arbitration courts, trade unions, their associations and independent units, religious organisations and their institutions, representative offices of foreign merchants and organisations, as well as insolvency proceedings.
